Sutton Scotney Development Brief
This Design and Development Brief sets out principles for the redevelopment of the Old Station Yard site and adjoining former Taylors Coaches site at Sutton Scotney. They are subject to Policy S.10 of the Winchester District Local Plan Review.
Policy S.10 provides for mixed business and housing development to take place on the site. It recognises that this is a key site within the village and therefore includes a number of requirements for its development. These include ensuring that the various elements of the development are appropriate in scale, location, access provision and design. The Brief establishes the principles of development to be followed, indicating how the Proposal's requirements should be met and how the various elements of the development will inter-relate.
The Brief has been prepared by KMA, in consultation with Winchester City Council and Wonston Parish Council and a draft brief underwent a public consultation exercise between December 2004 and January 2005. At a Cabinet meeting on 29th June 2005, the Development Brief was adopted as a background document to the Revised Deposit Local Plan.
