This area gives you access to various documents that are part of the evidence base for Local Plan Part 2 (LPP2), and which directly concern Bishop’s Waltham. These include reports and studies produced by Winchester City Council or in collaboration with Bishop’s Waltham Parish Council and groups within it. The documents can be downloaded below.
The preparation of LPP2 follows on directly from Local Plan Part 1 (Joint Core Strategy) and includes new or revised development management policies and site-specific development allocations based on Bishop’s Waltham’s needs. City Council officers have worked closely with the Bishops Waltham Development Plan Steering Group in order to identify these needs and to produce the necessary evidence to justify the new policies and allocations.
As part of this collaborative approach, the Parish and City Councils undertook an informal consultation with the local community on preferred new housing allocations set out in the proposed Bishop’s Waltham Development Plan for 2011 - 2031.
The consultation ran between 24 January 2014 and 7 March 2014. Public Exhibitions were held on: 9 February 11am – 4pm Priory Park (Clubhouse), 13 February 3pm – 8pm Jubilee Hall (Gold Room) and 15 February 10am – 2pm High Street (King’s Church).
