Digital Drop-In Sessions
Are you struggling with your tablet/ laptop/ smart phone? Need some one-on-one IT support? Introducing our FREE Digital Drop-In Sessions where you can access expert assistance for all your tech-related questions and challenges.
Where and when:
- Alresford: Every 1st Friday of the month between 10am and 12pm. Makins Court Sheltered Housing scheme, Windsor Road, Alresford SO24 9HX.
- Bishops Waltham: Every 4th Wednesday of the month 10.00am - 12.00pm. Green Close Sheltered Housing Scheme , Bishops Waltham, Winchester, SO32 1JT.
- Winchester: Every 2nd Tuesday of the month 10.00am – 12.00pm at King Harold Court, Residents Lounge, Christchurch Street, Winchester, SO23 9SA.
- Winchester City Council Offices: Every 1st Thursday of the month 12.30pm - 2.30pm Winchester City Council offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ
- There will be no Digital Drop-in sessions held on Good Friday and Bank Holidays.
What to Expect:
- 1-to-1 IT Support: Our Digital Champions are here to help you with any tech-related questions or issues you have, whether it's setting up a new tablet/ laptop, discovering how to stay safe online, or learning how to use websites.
- Bring Your Own Device: You can bring your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or any other digital gadget you need help with. Our Digital Champions are well-versed in a wide range of devices and platforms. Don’t have a device? Don’t worry! We can provide laptops to use at the session.
- Friendly and Patient Staff: We understand that technology can be daunting, but don't worry! The Digital Champions are patient, friendly, and dedicated to helping you at your own pace.
- Open to all: Digital Drops-Ins are open to all!
- No Cost Involved: That's right, our Digital Drop-In Sessions are absolutely FREE. We believe in making tech support accessible to everyone.

Community Hubs
Join us for a FREE cuppa and a bite to eat at one of our Community Hub at Wickham or Winchester. Have a friendly chat with our officers about any issues relating to benefits, housing, and wellbeing. For informal guidance, information and sign-posting for anyone looking for support around the cost of living.
Where and when:
- Alresford: Every 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:00 – 12.00pm at St Gregory’s Church, Grange Rd, Alresford SO24 9HB.
- Wickham: Every 1st Monday of the month | 2.30pm - 4.30 pm. Wickham Community Centre, Mill Lane, Wickham, Fareham PO17 5AL.
- Winchester: Every 3rd Thursday of the month |10.30am - 12.30pm. Unit 12 Community Food Pantry, Winnall Valley Rd, Winchester SO23 0LD.
- Winchester: Every 3rd Monday of the month | 10.00am - 12pm. The Carroll Centre, Somers Close, Stanmore, Winchester SO22 4EJ.
- There will be no Community Hubs held on Good Friday and Bank Holidays.
What to Expect:
Community Hubs are a great support mechanism for you as a tenant of Winchester City Council to come and talk directly to a member of Winchester City Council Staff. Winchester City Council Officers will be joined by Citizens Advice and other supportive organisations to answer questions on:
- income maximisation
- benefit entitlement
- debt relief
- sustaining your private or council tenancy and much more!

Housing Improvement Workshops
All tenants, leaseholders and shared owners are welcome to come along to the Housing Improvement Workshops.
We have four groups:

- Neighbourhood and Community
- Tenancy
