Community impact and management
Winchester’s multi-agency Safety Advisory Group has worked hard with the event organisers to ensure the impact on the local community is minimal. The organisers have a traffic management plan in place but some impact on local roads is expected. Peak traffic times and route information are listed in the Public Information Document.
Strict sound conditions are in place which aim to balance community needs with the festival entertainment. Key timings for licensed information are also available in the Public Information Document.

Boomtown community hotline
The event organisers have set up a Community Hotline number for the public to report any issues, log complaints or provide feedback during the event:
Boomtown community hotline (2 August - 11 August): 020 3781 7260
email: eventcontrol@boomtownfair.co.uk
If you have a non-urgent query, you can contact the organisers via local_community@boomtownfair.co.uk.
Further details can be found on the public information document.

Winchester City Council
Council officers will attend the site before, during and after the event to ensure adherence to the licence conditions and associated event management plan.
Anyone dissatisfied with the noise service offered by Boomtown’s Community Hotline number may call Winchester City Council’s Environmental Health Team on 01962 848097.
Please note that this will not be manned 24/7 – but the Environmental Health Team will be monitoring noise levels at the event during night hours.
