The Winchester District Local Plan Part 1 – Joint Core Strategy prepared by Winchester City Council and the South Downs National Park Authority was submitted to the Secretary of State for Examination in June 2012. Nigel Payne BSc (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI, MCMI was appointed as the independent Inspector and conducted the Examination into the Winchester District Local Plan Part 1 - Joint Core Strategy.

The Examination Hearings commenced Tuesday 30th October 2012 through to Thursday 8th November in the Guildhall Winchester (Walton Suite).

Publication of Inspector's Report

The Council  has now received the final report from the Planning Inspectorate, this together with accompanyiing documents can be viewed on the Inspector's Report page.
