Parent/Child spaces and 'dual use' bays
There are currently 16 dedicated parent/child spaces in The Brooks car park.
There are also a further 5 'dual use' bays in our Middle Brook Street car park and 6 in our Chesil Multi storey car park. It is expected that a parent/child bay is used by a vehicle which has either a booster or child seat, or is carrying children up to the age of 12.
Dual use bays allow both disabled motorists and parent/child visitors to use the same bay, if available.

Electric Vehicles
Winchester City Council has a network of Electric Vehicle charging points (EVCP)s across the district. The system can be accessed by registering with MER https://uk.mer.eco/how-it-works/.
Payment for both the parking space and the charging of the vehicle is required (if during car park charging hours). Please see on site signage for details.

Current Park & Ride EV locations are managed by Hampshire County Council. Further information can be found here:

More EV sites will be added shortly to the Park & Ride network, e.g. Barfield and St. Catherine’s Park & Ride. Winchester City Council will continue to monitor the current strategy and introduce new locations or additional chargers to existing sites as/when policy dictates.
