Hampshire County Council Elections
Elections take place every four years for Hampshire County Council. The Winchester District is represented by seven County Councillors. The divisions for Winchester area are:
Bishops Waltham
Itchen Valley
Meon Valley
Winchester Downlands
Winchester Eastgate
Winchester Southern Parishes
Winchester Westgate

This will provide you with more information on responsibilities and commitments. The Electoral Commission's Guidance for Candidates and Agents will also provide you with further advice on the processes you will need to follow to stand for election. Guidance on whether you can stand for election, running as an independent candidate or running as part of a political party can be found below. If you are planning to be a Candidate or Agent in these elections, please contact us to arrange a date where you can bring in your nomination paper/s. The deadlines regarding standing for elections are listed below. If you miss the deadline, your nomination will not be allowed.
