Further free AI workshops and webinars offered by city council to district businesses

An expanded programme of free artificial intelligence (AI) training opportunities for local businesses has been launched by Winchester City Council.

Running in June and July, the training will offer practical guidance, expert insight and hands‑on experience with emerging AI tools, helping to build digital confidence and preparing for the increasing role of AI in business and in the workplace.

The programme begins on Monday 8 June with an Introduction to AI Webinar at 10am, a one-hour accessible session open to all offering an overview of the current landscape and exploring AI’s current everyday use in organisations.

Businesses which have already completed the Introduction are welcomed to sign up for an interactive in-person AI UseCase Workshop on Wednesday 17 June from 10am to 12.30pm at voco® Winchester Hotel & Spa. This session will showcase real-world AI applications across different business function and will help attendees identify potential applications within their own organisations.

To provide tailored one-to-one support for those who have previously attended both previous sessions, the programme will conclude with an AI Business Clinic on Wednesday 1 July. Bookable 30‑minute appointments will be available throughout the morning, offering businesses the chance to receive personalised expert guidance.

Councillor Lucille Thompson, Winchester City Council’s Cabinet Member for Business and Culture, said: “At Winchester City Council, we remain committed to driving and supporting local economic growth and innovation. By offering these free AI learning opportunities, we are ensuring that businesses across the district have access to the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world”.
