Winchester Green Fair returns for 2026
Residents are invited to discover practical ways to live more sustainably when Winchester City Council’s Winchester Green Fair returns on Saturday 19 September 2026.
The free, family-friendly event will take place at The Arc from 11am to 4pm and will bring together local organisations, community groups and experts offering advice and inspiration on a range of environmental topics.
Visitors will be able to find out more about supporting nature and wildlife, reducing energy use at home, improving recycling habits and making more sustainable travel choices.
New for 2026 is a programme of free workshops, giving people the opportunity to learn new skills and gain practical knowledge to support greener living. Topics include clothing repair, basic bike mechanics, vegetarian cooking, home energy, natural clothing dyes, a tree walk and marine species identification.
Workshop places can be booked in advance via the council's website at www.winchester.gov.uk/green-fair-2026
Councillor Kelsie Learney, Cabinet Member for the Climate and Nature Emergency, said: "Following the success of last year’s Winchester Green Fair, we are pleased to provide another great opportunity for residents to learn more about simple changes we can all make to reduce our environmental impact and support nature locally. Whether you are just starting to think about sustainability and looking for advice or after new ideas and inspiration, there will be something for everyone at this year's event."
The event is free and offers activities, information and advice for people of all ages. Visitors are welcome to drop in throughout the day and explore the wide range of exhibitors and workshops on offer.
