Statement on the passing of Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Kent
The Mayor of Winchester, councillors and officers of Winchester City Council wish to express their sadness following the recent announcement of the death of Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Kent.
The Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Sudhakar Achwal said: 'I am deeply saddened to hear of the recent death of Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Kent. I would like to offer His Majesty the King and the Royal Family our deepest condolences and wish them comfort and strength at this difficult time.'
The flag on Winchester Guildhall will fly at half-mast as a mark of respect.
