Mayor of Winchester launches Community Awards
The search is on for individuals and organisations that have made a real difference in the Winchester district, as the annual Mayor of Winchester’s Community Awards launches today, Wednesday 12 January 2022.
The award recognises and celebrates those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others – which has been especially important as we continue to support each other with the pressures placed upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic
The Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Vivian Achwal, said:
“It has been another challenging year where we have relied greatly on the support of the community to get us through. Across our district people have continued to make an effort to support each other and their communities to make a difference to the lives of others. Please take the time to nominate people who deserve a public thank you.”
To nominate a person or organisation, complete the online form at winchester.gov.uk/mayors-awards with the details of your nominee(s) or contact your district or local parish council and they can make a submission on your behalf.
The closing date for nominations is 18 February 2022.
