Ribbon cut to mark opening of new affordable housing scheme in Knowle

The newest phase of a Winchester City Council housing scheme was officially opened in style.

Dean Copse Cottages in Knowle – which comprises four two-bed homes and one three-bed home – was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The scheme, built by contractor FE Chase, is part of three affordable housing sites which will deliver a total of 13 new homes in Knowle.

The development has energy efficiency at its heart with the homes boasting several environmentally-friendly features including solar panels, high levels of insulation and high performance glazing. This means that the cottages are easier and more cost effective to heat than older properties.
