The Dove Inn, Micheldever Station
The Dove Inn in Andover Road was nominated as an asset of community value by Micheldever Parish Council. This was agreed by Winchester City Council in May 2019 because of the services it provides to further the social wellbeing of the local community
The city council has received notice of the owner’s intention to dispose of The Dove Inn. The Community Right to Bid gives local people the opportunity to bid for facilities considered to be of community value before they are sold on the open market.
If the council receives an appropriate expression of intent to bid by 25 July 2019, this prevents disposal on the open market for six months.
A parish council, charity, community interest company, company limited by guarantee or industrial and provident society may submit an expression of interest as a potential bidder.
A submitted bid allows the community a period of six months from the original notification to the council, to prepare and negotiate a competitive bid for the property with the current owner. During this time it cannot be sold on the open market.
Written expressions of interest to be considered as a potential bidder must be submitted to Winchester City Council by 25 July 2019.
