Junior Netball Players Offered Coaching
Winchester City Council is offering girls in the District the opportunity to try their hand at netball through two new coaching courses.
Supported by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Sports Partnership the courses aim to provide easier access to netball in the district and provide better quality coaching to help improve performance and increase enjoyment, with the long-term aim to create a new junior club in the district.
The two courses, which will provide advice on techniques, skills and tactics from qualified, checked coaches, begin running on Wednesday 25th February at Perins Community Sports College in Alresford.
U11’s (School Years 5 & 6) 5 – 6pm Outside Netball Courts
11 – 14’s (School Years 7 – 9) 6 – 7pm Outside Netball Courts
The courses cost £20, the equivalent of £1 per week, or £5 equivalent to 25p per week for children of parents who are receiving Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit. All players need to register in advance, as spaces are limited.
