New Affordable Council Homes Development Opportunities
In response to severe housing affordability challenges in our district, we plan to provide more council housing to add to our existing stock of over 5000 homes.
We have delivered over 500 new affordable council homes since 2012, with a healthy forward pipeline.
We want to build on our successes by working with developers, landowners and other Registered Providers to deliver these new homes.
We are particularly keen to pursue S106, Additionality, Land Led and Rural Opportunities.

Our track record
We have a strong record of delivery and since starting our development programme in 2012 we have provided around 500 new homes. Delivery has been on our own land, on land we have bought and in partnership with developers and other Registered Providers.
As members of the Wayfarer Partnership and with developers, we have been able to access Homes England funding to compliment our own capital resources.
As significant landowners and owners of almost 20 waste-water treatment works we are creating nutrient solutions which will unlocked new development.
Because of the local benefits our new homes bring we have been able to work with communities to bring forward development on sensitive, complex and exception sites.
With over 5000 homes spread across the whole District we have a widespread housing management presence putting us in the enviable position of being able to take up opportunities for development across the whole.
