Description

Join Winchester’s professional guides for a 90 minute tour, starting at Winchester Visitor Information Centre, next door in the Guildhall. To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Jane’s birth, we will be holding a special tea party on the day she was born at the beautiful 18th century Abbey House. Abbey House is not usually open to the public and is being made available to the Winchester Tourist Guides especially for this occasion. A brief tour of the house will be followed by tea and cake while we entertain you with stories and readings from Jane’s life and writings. There are stairs and limited space in parts of the house which makes this tour unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Numbers are limited so advance booking is recommended. The tour price includes a donation to the Mayor’s charities. Minimum age 12 years old.
Tickets can be bought in advance through the website or in person on the day at the Visitor Information Centre if still available.
