Description
If you ever visit a chalk stream fishery, you're likely to see the handiwork of a River Keeper. Whether maintaining banks, cutting weed, or managing water levels, the River Keeper often has in-depth knowledge about their stretch of stream.
In this talk, Neil Swift from Wessex Rivers Trust will explore the complexities of this unique job. Having spent seven years as the River Keeper at Mottisfont Abbey, and then moved into river conservation, Neil has seen how chalk stream habitats can benefit from skilled management.
