Description
In about 650AD, an Anglo-Saxon church was built in the heart of Winchester: a curious place to build a new church. The once prolific Roman city lay in ruins. Was the site really abandoned? Why then would the Anglo-Saxons choose to build a church here? Join Martin Biddle as he presents new evidence and sheds light on this difficult and elusive period of Winchester's history.
