Description

article thumb - Spiritual abuse and healthy Christian culture

How can people respond well to experiences of coercive control in religious contexts and prevent their occurrence in the future? Spiritual abuse is a controversial topic but a focus on healthy cultures should help prevent such experiences in the future. Dr Oakley is the Chair of the National Working Group for Child Abuse linked to Faith or Belief and the Church of England Task and Finish Group on Spiritual Abuse.
