Social Value
The Procurement Team at Winchester City Council will seek opportunities to support and imbed social value through its commissions to generate benefit to society, the local community and environment. This will chiefly be done by ensuring the weightings set out in the Procurement Strategy are included in all relevant procurement activities. Due to the diverse nature of what the council procures, how these will be defined will vary for each commission although they will be relevant to the category of expenditure. The approaches in each case will be detailed within any tender documentation.
