Dementia Awareness Week in Winchester

Dementia awareness week balloons

To mark the beginning of national Dementia Awareness Week the Dementia Friendly Winchester action group will be handing out balloons in the High Street in Winchester on Monday 15 May.

Balloons will be displayed in shops and businesses from 15 to 20 May 2017 with the aim of raising awareness of the disease to help those living with dementia and their families feel supported and part of the community.

There will also be a stall at St. Maurice’s Covert in Winchester High Street where members from the action group will be handing out balloons and information leaflets.

For more information please contact Elisabeth Pollard, Chair of Dementia Friendly Winchester, at dementiafriendlywinch@hotmail.com or on 01962 844 544.
