Hampshire Apprentice Partnership - 7 roles available

WINCHESTER City Council is co-ordinating an exciting new apprentice programme in Hampshire.

The Hampshire Apprentice Partnership involves four councils in the county and offers thorough experience in the workplace whilst studying for a professional qualification without any fees or debt.

This programme provides an alternative learning journey to college or university. There are no set entry requirements for Apprenticeships. You just need to be living in England, aged 16 or over and not taking part in full-time education.

Apprentices on this programme also attend a series of life skills classes which enhance their development, enabling each individual to contribute their own unique talents to deliver projects that benefit the community.

Winchester City Council currently has seven diverse apprenticeship roles available for enthusiastic and motivated young people: Tourism, Guildhall; Chef, Guildhall; Paralegal Administration; Electoral Services; Grants; Accounting; and Risk and Insurance.

Dawn Purver, Apprentice Partnerships Co-ordinator at Winchester City Council, said:

Working as a partnership with three other councils enables our apprenticeship programme to be unique. It incorporates a monthly life skills programme and also provides the opportunity to participate proactively in community action projects.
