Alresford gets cracking with a free Easter egg hunt

Saturday 4 April to Saturday 11 April

New Alresford town centre is getting ready to host a free Easter egg hunt involving two of the things that children love most – stickers and chocolate!

Organised by Winchester City Council’s Market Towns Development Officers, Jade Moses and Heidi Isa, the free activity has been supported by New Alresford Chamber of Commerce with 19 businesses from New Alresford either sponsoring the event or forming part of the trail.

The egg hunt maps have been distributed to local schools and are also available in participating shops. Children will be rewarded with an egg sticker for each egg that they spot on the hunt - there is one in each of the 13 local shops. Once they have collected 10 or more stickers, participants will receive a small chocolate egg made by local Alresford business Chocolate Craft.

In addition to all of this, a grand prize draw offers children and their parents the chance to win several fantastic prizes including a family portrait photography session, vouchers, books and a family pass to the Watercress Line.

The event has been designed to benefit both local people and local businesses by providing a free activity which brings people into the town centre. The egg hunt can be completed during shop opening hours from Saturday 4 April to Saturday 11 April.
