Winchester Photographic Society Annual Exhibition 2013
Winchester Photographic Society's Annual Open Exhibition will be held at City Space in the Winchester Discovery Centre from Saturday 20 April until Sunday 12 May.
This popular exhibition showcases prints and projected images that represent the very best of its members' work and it is also open to photographers, amateur or professional, from anywhere in the world.
Winchester City Council’s Exhibitions Co-ordinator, Mark Barden, said
It is always a pleasure welcoming the Winchester Photographic Society for their annual exhibition and this year we have the added attraction of a selection of material from Winchester Museums’ Recent History collection.
The final images are selected by a panel of experienced judges from an overall entry of more than 1,000 - a selection that consistently reaches the highest standards of skill and creativity. Everyone who visits the exhibition is encouraged to vote for their favourite photograph. Will you agree with the judges’ selection of the best pictures in the show?
Visitors will also be able to see selected images from Winchester Museums’ extensive photographic archive which evocatively brings to life the people and places of Winchester and the district from over 100 years ago.
The exhibition is open from Saturday 20 April until Sunday 12 May. Winchester Discovery Centre will be closed on the Bank Holiday, Monday 6 May.
