Help design North Walls skatepark
North Walls Skatepark is going to be re-designed and local people of all ages have the opportunity to have their say on the new designs for the site.
A public meeting is being held on 23 May 2012 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Winchester Rugby Club (access off Hillier Way).
The meeting will be held in two parts with the first element consisting of a presentation on the progress so far, and how the refurbishment project will now develop.
In the second part, the session will spilt into groups of users - scooters, roller bladers, BMX bikers, skateboarders and other interested parties. This is the users chance to have their say and be involved in the development of the park. Any initial ideas will be recorded and the groups will be given the chance to nominate a representative to sit on the design team. The design team will consist of 6-7 people who will then work with the park designer and be the link between the design and their user group.
This is an excellent opportunity for local people to help create a skatepark that will be widely used and will be an important asset to Winchester.
