Winchester Photographic Society Annual Exhibition 2011 at City Space
Winchester Photographic Society's Annual Open Exhibition of prints and projected images showcases not only the very best of its members' work but is also open to all photographers, amateur or professional, from anywhere in the world. The final images are selected by a panel of three experienced judges from an overall entry of more than a thousand.
Louise Brown of Winchester Photographic Society says, “This years exhibition of colour and monochrome images featuring portraits, natural history, photo-journalism, local landscapes and international travel demonstrate the diversity of interests of photographers both within the Society and the wider community.
Come along and see if you agree with the judges' selection of the best pictures in each category, and vote for your personal favourite.”
You will also be able to see a selection of material on display from Winchester Museums’ extensive photographic archive which evocatively brings to life the people and places of Winchester and the district from over 100 years ago.
Please remember, although the library area in the Discovery Centre will be closed between Tuesday 3rd and Monday 23rd May, the Winchester Photographic Society exhibition in City Space will remain open to visitors.
The exhibition is open from Saturday 16th April until Sunday 8th May but will be closed Bank Holidays and Easter Sunday.
