Fernando Matoso at the view

Press Release: 24/05/2010

Fernando Matoso at the view

From Friday 28 May to Friday 25 June, Fernando Matoso will be displaying his collection of work entitled Blurreal at the view exhibition space in Winchester.

Fernando’s work aims to test the viewer, forcing them to think by creating ambiguous images that are open to interpretation, instead of 'spoon-feeding' his audience a specific meaning.

Fernando describes his work as: “A statement on our perceptual experiences and how photography represents the world in a time during which Digitalism is taking reality to a new stage.”

the view is a free exhibition space for new visual arts and craft work made by local artists who are either studying art or are in the early stages of their careers as practitioners. It is located at 4 Bridge Street, Winchester and is funded by Winchester City Council’s Arts Service.
