Local organisations invited to ‘grab a grant'

Winchester City Council is inviting local organisations to apply for this year’s Small Grant Scheme.

Grants of up to £500 are available to not-for-profit voluntary organisations, community groups, or registered charities that run activities or projects that benefit residents within the Winchester District.

A total fund of £18,000 is being made available for Bio-Diversity, Carbon Reduction, Community Chest, Community Planning, and Twinning activities/projects during 2010-2011.

Grants will be considered for projects that tie-in with the following five themes:
Health and Wellbeing, Safer and Stronger Communities, Economic Prosperity, High Quality Environment, and Inclusive Society.

There will be three rounds of grant awards with the following closing dates:

3rd March 2010 (for activities or projects taking place after 14th April 2010)

2nd June 2010 (for activities or projects taking place after 14th July 2010)

6th October 2010 (for activities or projects taking place after 17th October 2010)
