Last Chance for Stanmore Residents!
Residents of Stanmore have just one more week to complete a questionnaire and claim their free ticket to watch the hit animated movie WALL-E (Cert U).
All households in Stanmore were recently asked by the City Council to help develop a Community Plan for their area by completing a questionnaire. The response has been very good with over 300 completed questionnaires returned to date.
Cllr James Stephens the Community Planning Group’s chairman said: “We are very pleased with the response so far and we have decided to extend the deadline for the return of completed questionnaires until Monday 9 March 2009. This will give residents, who may have forgotten or left it too late, the opportunity to submit their completed questionnaire and also take advantage of the free tickets to see WALL-E at Winchester University’s Stripe Auditorium.”
A number of people who have returned completed questionnaires did not complete the attached registration form to claim their places for the movie screenings, so there are still plenty of places available.
Cllr Stephens added: “Confirmation will be sent soon to those households who have requested a place for the movie screenings. However, if people have any concerns about their place for the movie screenings or have any general queries regarding the questionnaire or community plan, they should call Mark Maitland on 01962 848518.”
The next stage of the Community Plan will be to collate the information from the questionnaires and identify the main issues of concern for local residents. Work will then begin on negotiating with various groups, organisations and agencies to determine what can be done to address those issues. This will form the basis of a “Community Action Plan” for the area.
