Walking the path to a healthier lifestyle

Winnall Community Association and local residents have been working closely with Winchester City Council’s Neighbourhood Wardens and Hampshire Primary Care Trust to produce a special Winnall Walks booklet.

The booklet contains details of five short, self-guided walks designed to help people develop active and healthy lifestyles whilst also enjoying the wealth of natural beauty on their doorstep.

To help launch the packs, Winnall Community Association is also working together with Winchester City Council, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and Butterfly Conservation to provide a series of
FREE guided walks.

The guided walks are open to everyone and will include a tour around the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the Winnall Moors Wildlife Reserve on Friday 12 June, a walk around the Butterfly Conservation’s reserve at Magdalen Hill Down on Friday 19 June, and a walk to the summit of St Giles Hill on Friday 26 June.

All the guided walks will take place from
until 12:30pm and will start from Winnall Community Centre in Garbett Road. The walks are suitable for people of all abilities and are particularly recommended for those with a low activity level.

The Winnall Walks Booklet is available FREE from the Winnall Commuity Centre, the Tourist Information Centre, and River Park Leisure Centre.
