Could your organisation benefit from a grant?
Organisations across the District are being invited to send in applications for the second round of the Small Grant Scheme 2009/2010.A total of eleven organisations benefited from grants in the first round of the scheme. Supported activities included an inter-village cricket event, art workshops for children, the purchase of black out blinds to enable film nights to be held in a village hall, an event to encourage carbon reduction, the creation of new allotments, and a twinning event for the Cyclists Touring Club in Winchester.
Grants of up to £500 are available for Bio-Diversity, Carbon Reduction, Community Chest, Community Planning, and Twinning activities/projects.
Applications are invited from not-for-profit voluntary organisations, community groups, or registered charities - for projects or activities that take place after 5 August, 2009.
The closing date for applications is 24 June 2009.
