Partnership launches plan for a safer District
Winchester Community Safety Partnership has launched its annual plan for 2009/10.
The Partnership has a responsibility to produce strategies to reduce crime & disorder across the District as part of a three-year rolling plan.
Each year the Partnership agrees a plan of action which aims to deliver on the priority targets for the forthcoming year.
The 2009/10 plan has been broken down into seven themed areas which outline the specific actions that the Partnership intends to deliver upon.
The themes range from Road Traffic Collisions and Criminal Damage through to Anti-Social Behaviour and reducing re-offending.
Cllr John Cooper, Winchester City Council’s Portfolio holder for Communities and Safety, said “The Partnership is fully committed in its quest to reduce the incidence of crime & disorder across the district and I’m happy that the project plans reflect the concerns that the public and the wider Partnership have identified”.
Copies of the partnership plan and the individual project plans are available on the Community Safety Partnership web site as downloadable documents at www.wdsp.co.uk/communitysafety/action_plans. Alternatively you can ring the Community Safety Team on 01962 848423 and ask for a paper copy.
