Graffiti clean-up

Over the weekend, a vandal committed over 35 acts of graffiti in central Winchester. City Council Wardens are currently hard at work cleaning-up the mess.

Inspector Kevin Baxman, of Winchester police, said: "We are working closely with Winchester City Council Wardens to investigate these offences and to remove the graffiti."

"We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the offences being committed in the early hours of Saturday 3 May.

"We would also like to hear from anyone whose property or premises may have been damaged."

Wardens from Winchester City Council have been working to remove the graffiti since early on Monday morning and hope to finish the clean-up operation within the next few days.
