Park and Ride Project Receives Commendation
Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council received a Certificate of Commendation at the City of Winchester Trust Design Awards on 30 October 2007.
The commendation was awarded for the St Catherine's Park and Ride project, with particular respect to the landscape, planting and open spaces aspects of the project.
The joint project between Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council was praised for blending comfortably within the existing landscape and for the high quality of the design and finish.
Cllr Keith Wood, the City Council’s Portfolio holder for Planning and Transport said:
“Much of the success of the St Catherine’s Park and Ride project has been down to the impressive way in which the project has been designed and implemented. This commendation reflects the hard work and commitment of all those who have been involved in the project.”
