Have you suffered harassment?
Winchester City Council together with Jigsaw, the Black and Minority Ethnic User Group for Housing Services, are organising a drop-in event on Saturday June 23 between 10am - 2pm at the Saxon Suite in Winchester's Guildhall.
Come and have a chat with Winchester City Council Officers about harassment you have experienced or witnessed, maybe to do with race, disability, sexual orientation or other hate crime, and help us to improve the service we offer.
If you have a view or simply want to know more why not take a break from the Saturday shopping and stop by to see the displays.
We want to get a clearer picture of:
- number of people who are affected
- how many of those report the harassment
- what stops people from reporting problems
- for those who have reported it, what worked well and what needs to be changed?
Cllr Tony Coates Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communities said "We really hope that lots of people come along to this event. It is really important to us as a council that we have an idea of what is going on in the community in terms of harassment so we can put steps in place to help."
If you have would like further information please contact Laura Nash, the Community Relations Officer, on 01962 840 222 extension 2133.
