By-election result

David Spender (Liberal Democrat) has been elected a member of Winchester City Council following a by-election in the Olivers Battery and Badger Farm ward yesterday (Thursday 29 September)

Cllr Spender, of Old Kennels Lane, Olivers Battery, Winchester, takes over the seat following the resignation of fellow Liberal Democrat Robin Darbyshire and will stand until 2008.

There was a 46.32% turnout.
