Free Broadband Business Workshop

A free broadband workshop in Winchester will bring together experts, business broadband tools and interactive displays to help businesses understand how to apply broadband applications to their own systems.

The workshop will be held at Winchester Guildhall from 9.30 am on 10 March 2005, ending with a networking lunch.

The workshop is the result of a recent business survey conducted by Winchester City Council in partnership with Hampshire Broadband and will focus on realising the value of broadband, how it is starting to provide real benefits for businesses, and how it can be translated into real commercial success for businesses whether large or small.

"Broadband can change the way you do business and improve your work-life balance," said Cllr Sheila Campbell, Leader of Winchester City Council, who will be opening the event.

"The internet is already a powerful business tool and broadband is the next step, bringing unrivalled benefits for business. The Council is keen to ensure local businesses have access to the tools they need so they can compete in the virtual market place, and is pleased to be able to provide a forum for businesses to learn from the experts as well as each other."

To book a place on the workshop please contact Angi Stoops on 01962 827029 or email angela.stoops@wiredwessex.com Places are limited and bookings close on 4 March.
