Fitness packages at Whiteley
If you are stuck about what to get as an unusual gift this Christmas, a fitness membership package at the Meadowside Leisure Centre, Whiteley, might just be the answer!The three, six or twelve month membership options start from £70.50 and include free access to fitness classes and programmes, and unlimited use of the excellent 28-station fitness suite. Members can also enjoy free off-peak racquet sports, including use of the two new all-weather tennis courts.
From January 2005 members will also be able to take advantage of the new crèche. Children can be left in the care of staff from Playdecks, who will initially be running a crèche Monday and Tuesday mornings from 10 - 12am. If the crèche proves popular, there are plans to extend its opening hours and days.
The two new tennis courts could also become home to a Whiteley Tennis Club, which Meadowside Centre Manager James Wade is keen to set up. Currently Warsash Tennis Club offers coaching for junior mini tennis on Sunday mornings in the Meadowside sports hall.
