Winchester Town Forum - a chance to share your views
Winchester Town Forum is preparing to tackle some important issues over the coming months.
Issues that effect people's daily lives and have a big impact on the town will be discussed over the next three meetings of the Forum, and Winchester City Council want to hear your views.
The Town Forum is a place to hear what the council is doing to tackle areas in the town such as road repairs, street cleaning and air quality, and to let the council hear your views about what happens currently and how you would like things to be done in the future.
At each meeting there is the opportunity to hear from both City Councillors and council officers, who will be available to answer any questions.
"If you have ideas about the way the council can improve its services in Winchester or if you want to comment on things that we already do, then the Town Forum is one of the places to do it," said Cllr Ray Pearce, Town Forum Chairman.
Details of the next three meetings are as follows:
7.00pm Thursday 2 September 2004 - Road and Pathway Repairs and Street Cleaning in Winchester
7.00pm Thursday 4 November 2004 - Vision for Winchester Statement
7.00pm Tuesday 1 February 2005 - Congestion and Air Quality Issues in Winchester.
All the meetings will be held at the Guildhall, Winchester. For further information please contact Colin Veal on 01962 848438
