A coffee morning with the Mayor

The Mayor of Winchester will be hosting a coffee morning in Abbey House, Winchester, on Thursday 4 December from 10am till 12.30pm, in aid of her four chosen charities, Heartstart UK, The Magpie Appeal, Snaps and the Bishop's Waltham and Meon Valley Citizens Advice Bureau.

There will be many local craft stalls at the event, selling local produce and unusual items to help with some Christmas gift ideas.

The Mayor will also give guided tours around the 300-year-old house that has been the official residence of the Mayor of Winchester since it was acquired by the City Council in 1889.

Visitors will be able to see the eighteenth century style interior and admire the furnishings and pictures that were all carefully selected from the City’s collections.

The coffee morning is free, but an optional entry donation of £5 is suggested, with all the money raised going to help four very worthy causes.
