Vary Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS)
An application can be made to vary the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), which can have immediate effect.
To apply to vary the DPS you must complete the form on the right-hand-side and forward to the licensing authority with the original premises licence and summary enclosed. If you cannot provide the licence and summary, you must provide a statement of the reasons for the failure to provide.
The application must be completed by the premises licence holder or agent on behalf of the licence holder. The consent must be included in the form and must be completed and signed by the proposed DPS. The variation comes into immediate effect as soon as the licensing authority receives it, unless stated otherwise.
Changes from 6 April 2017
Applications made on or after 6 April 2017 must declare that the proposed DPS has the right to work in the UK following the introduction of the Immigration Act 2016. Amended application and consent forms are now available.
A copy of the application must be submitted to the Police at:
Alcohol & Entertainment Licensing Officer
Bishops Waltham Police Station
The Chief Officer of Police has 14 days from the date in which the Police receive their copy of the application to object the transfer, where they are satisfied the crime prevention licensing objective would be undermined.
The fee of £23 must be included with the application. Please make all cheques payable to Winchester City Council. The application and consent can be found on the right-hand-side.
