An application can be made to vary the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), which can have immediate effect.

To apply to vary the DPS you must:

1) Complete the online application form. The application must be completed by the premises licence holder or agent on behalf of the licence holder.

2) Complete the consent form. A consent form, completed by the DPS, must be provided with the application. The variation comes into immediate effect as soon as the licensing authority receives it, unless stated otherwise.

3) Provide documentation proving their right to work in the UK (clear copies, not originals, are acceptable). Applications made on or after 6 April 2017 must declare that the proposed DPS has the right to work in the UK following the introduction of the Immigration Act 2016

4) Pay the application fee of £23. You will need a credit/debit card to make payment of the fee.

You must provide the original Premises Licence and Summary to the licensing authority. This can be submitted via post or dropped off at Reception. If you cannot provide the licence and summary, you must provide a statement of the reasons for the failure to provide.

If you wish to apply by post, please contact the Licensing Department for a paper copy of the application form and consent form. Payment of the application fee can be made via the My Council Services payment portal, by telephone, or cheque.

The Chief Officer of Police has 14 days from the date in which the Police receive their copy of the application to object the variation, where they are satisfied the crime prevention licensing objective would be undermined.
