Out and about

We've been through an extraordinary few months and as our district begins to open up we’re all working together to ensure that you can enjoy a day out with confidence. Many of us have now become accustomed to social distancing with friends and family, and we encourage everyone to continue this as we do our bit to stop the spread.

  • Across town centres, you’ll find signs reminding you to keep your distance and how to navigate our narrower streets. These are here to help and we should all try to make allowances when moving about in the district – especially in town centres.
  • Queues outside cafes and restaurants are a regular occurrence now, so things are taking a little longer than usual. Staff are adapting to new ways of working, please be patient and we'll get you seated as quickly as possible.
  • If you've got any questions, worries or concerns, look out for Neighbourhood Wardens and BID Rangers who are here to help or point you in the right direction for further information

Our keyworkers are dealing with more waste than usual as we enjoy our picnics in the park or a coffee-to-go in town. Please help us keep our high streets looking beautiful by using bins provided and if they're too full please take your rubbish with you.
