Mayor of Winchester launches Community Awards
The search is on for people and organisations that have made a real difference in the Winchester district, as the annual round of the Mayor of Winchester’s Community Awards launches this week.
The awards will recognise and celebrate the organisations and individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others – which has been especially important this past year.
The Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Patrick Cunningham, said:
“In this most difficult of year’s we’ve relied more than ever on the sense of community to get us through. Across our district people have continued to make a difference to the lives of others. Please take the time to nominate people who deserve a public thank you.”
To make a nomination, complete our online form at winchester.gov.uk/mayors-awards with the details of your nominee(s) or contact your district councillor or local parish council so that they can submit the nomination on your behalf.
The closing date for nominations is 19 February 2021.
