Why are we experiencing issues with bin collections?
Our service provider has been experiencing unprecedented difficulties with vehicles and staffing, this has led to a backlog of waste collection services in a number of areas across the Winchester and East Hampshire districts. We apologise sincerely to any of our residents affected by a late bin collection. Additional staff, vehicles and other contractors have been brought in to complete all outstanding collections with a view to returning to normal service by the end of the week. Although much of the backlog of collections has now been completed, we are continuing to monitor progress and will keep residents updated as our service provider continues to work to resolve the issues.
What should I do if my bin has not been emptied on the scheduled day?
If you find your bin has not been emptied on the scheduled day, please leave it out and it will be emptied as soon as possible. Additionally, please report the issues using this form
