Following on from Winchester’s first Unconference in May, Winchester City Council and the University of Winchester held a hack event on Saturday 8 September. This was to use technology and data to resolve issues identified at the Unconference:
- support local businesses (both city and rural)
- attract and retain young people
- create co-working spaces
A hack is an event where people with all sorts of skills and knowledge get together to solve shared problems. The main event was an intensive day of pitching, coding, developing and data wrangling. Look out for posts on the WinchBiz blog that explain in more detail.
