Sparsholt Village Design Statement
Sparsholt Village Design Statement (VDS)
Sparsholt Parish Council has produced a Village Design Statement (VDS) for Sparsholt which identifies design criteria against which planning applications in the area will be assessed.
Winchester City Council adopted the Sparsholt VDS as a Supplementary Planning Document to the Winchester District Local Plan on 5 September 2012 following a public consultation period held in 2007. The VDS includes a statement of public consultation, which outlines how the public was involved in the consultation on this document.
Modifications made following this consultation can be found in the Cabinet report of 30 April 2014 (CAB2383): http://www.winchester.gov.uk/assets/files/14417/CAB2383LDF.pdf.
You can download a copy of the adopted Sparsholt Village Design Statement and Adoption Notice below (a copy of the draft VDS can also be downloaded below). Alternatively, you can view a paper copy, free of charge, at Winchester City Council Customer Service Centre (Please note that the reception is open from Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Fridays 8.30am - 4.30pm). If you would like to buy a copy, you can do so from Winchester City Council Customer Service Centre.
Any person aggrieved by the adoption of the Sparsholt VDS may apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of the Council’s decision to adopt it. Any such application for leave must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after 17 December 2014.
