Denmead Village Design Statement

Adoption of Supplementary Planning Guidance document under Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004

The Denmead VDS is a Supplementary Planning Document that supplements the Winchester District Local Plan Review (WDLPR 2006) and, in due course, the emerging Winchester District Local Development Framework (WDLDF).

Winchester City Council and the Denmead Future Group published a draft 'Village Design Statement' (VDS) for Denmead in 2006 for public consultation. Following careful consideration of the responses, the document was adopted as supplementary to the Winchester District Local Plan Review by the Council on 05 April 2007.

The Denmead VDS incorporates within it a Statement of Public Consultation, which outlines the main issues raised in the consultation exercises and how the Council has addressed these issues in the final document. This Statement appears as Appendix 2 to the Denmead VDS, and fulfils the requirements of Regulation 18(4)(b) of the above regulations.
