Denmead Neighbourhood Plan Submission

Denmead Neighbourhood Plan Submission

Notice is hereby given that the Denmead Parish Council has submitted to Winchester City Council their Plan Proposal under Part 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

Notice under Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations

Winchester City Council held a consultation on the Submission Denmead Neighbourhood Plan between 29 September and  5pm on 11 November 2014.

The comments received through the consultation have been passed to an independent examiner, Chris Collison, appointed by the Council. The examiner will consider the representations, whether the plan meets the basic conditions and other relevant legal requirements, and will determine if the plan should be put to a community referendum. The examiner may request further information to help in his consideration and may conduct the examination through written representations only, or he may call a public hearing to examine a particular issue in more depth.

The Examiner has to decide whether or not the plan meets the “basic conditions” and make a report that either:

  • the plan is submitted to referendum,
  • modifications specified in the report are made and the plan as modified is submitted to referendum, or
  • the plan is rejected.

If the examiner recommends that the Plan should proceed to a referendum, the referendum may take place 2 or 3 months after the Examiner’s Report is received.
