The bus route runs from the East Winchester P&R car parks to the South Winchester P&R car park calling at stops in the Broadway and outside M&S for the City Centre, the Railway Station, Westgate for the Law Courts and County Council and at the Hospital on Romsey Road, which also serves the University, Police headquarters and Prison. Most P&R bus shelters are green and all have distinctive Park and Ride poles/flags.

Tickets & Charges

The ticket machines are Pay and Display and accept cash coins only. On payment they produce two tickets - one to display in the vehicle and the other to show to the driver of the Park and Ride bus so you and your passengers can travel to and from town.
Customers can also pay for parking using their mobile/smart phone and credit/debit card via RingGo. Upon payment with RingGo, just show your text receipt to the bus driver.

The following daily tariffs will apply Monday to Saturday (no charge for parking Sundays or Bank Holidays when no bus service runs):

  • All Day - £3.00
  • Monday to Friday, arrival after 10.30am - £2.50
  • Arrival after 4.00pm - FREE (but you must obtain tickets from machine)
  • Saturdays - 3 hours Parking Only option - £1.50

Payment is required to be made by blue badge holders at the site if using the bus service. Such a concession would only apply to holders of Bus Passes and payment at the site will be required if there are passengers travelling with the blue badge/bus pass holder who do not have a valid bus pass for use.
